Salone della ricostruzione

Exactly two years on since the Abruzzo earthquake, an initiative is being organised to discuss themes relating to reconstruction of the affected areas. The “Salone della Ricostruzione. Restauro, innovazione, green economy” (“Reconstruction Fair. Restoration, innovation and the green economy”) will be held in Monticchio in the province of L’Aquila from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 July 2011.

The trade fair will present building sector companies’ key offerings for reconstruction of the 57 affected municipalities and for restoration of the architectural heritage of L’Aquila. The event will be an opportunity to exchange ideas, promote innovation and discuss the most topical issues in contemporary building as well as explore the themes of energy efficiency, technological innovation and social housing.

The event will be held in a common area that will exhibit products, systems and technologies for reconstruction and restoration, new building, networks and infrastructures while at the same time hosting meetings and seminars organised in cooperation with industry experts.

Themes of great topical interest will be addressed, including the state of the art of reconstruction, innovation in building, restoration, social housing and the green economy.

A number of events will also be organised directly by SAIE in cooperation with AIST: Seismic protection, Sustainability and traditional Mediterranean materials, and New technical standards and software solutions.

The themes of reconstruction and seismic risk prevention will also be addressed at SAIE 2011 in Bologna from 5 to 8 October 2011 as a follow-up to the issues discussed at the Abruzzo trade fair.

The event is promoted by ANCE Abruzzo and organised by the communication agency CARSA S.r.l. in cooperation with BolognaFiere – SAIE , Verona Fiere – Marmomacc and Samoter, GBC and Green Building Council Italia.
