GBSC 2011 - International Conference on Green Buildings and Sustainable Cities |
|
The 2011 International Conference on Green Buildings and Sustainable Cities (GBSC 2011) which took place on the 15/16th September in Bologna and Ravenna, was an important opportunity to exchange and compare current thinking and experience (theory, methods, and applications) in the field of urban construction & sustainability on an international scale.
The Conference provided a meeting place where over 150 academic researchers and industry professionals were able to share information.
The conference papers presented looked at the main areas of sustainability in the urban construction industry both from a theoretical and practical perspective, with particular reference to the issues of urban sustainability, sustainable materials, and civil engineering sustainability.
A selection of the papers presented during GBSC2011 will be projected during SAIE 2011, and a series of debates and public meetings.
