Inside Saie 2011 the AIST Technical Software Plaza

AIST was created to meet the urgent need for cooperation and exchange in the technical software sector. Dynamic and fast-moving, the sector demands scientific excellence, a constant research commitment, collaboration and synergy with the academic and institutional world as well as a key focus on training and updating Italian professionals required to operate within the framework of complex technical norms undergoing constant change.

AIST figures prominently in this pyramid-shaped sector whose major players are users, researchers and regulators. The Association’s mission is to provide constantly updated information to all technical software users. It acts as an essential link with the building and construction sector.

To do this AIST organises a series of joint initiatives and events such as conferences, courses, exhibitions and training activities. As well as disseminating the research conducted by members, AIST is committed to raising awareness of the important role played by technical software houses in their service provision of Italian professionals.

AIST provides the various software houses with a common platform for meetings, exchange and dialogue, key drivers of growth for the sector as a whole.

The AIST technical software plaza at SAIE will feature of series of meetings and conferences. A detailed programme will be available in September.
