SAIENERGIA is always with you: a series of webinars coordinated by Mario Cucinella to begin on 14 April
The numerous initiatives already under way as part of the lead-up to SAIE 2011, to be held from 5 to 8 October, testify to the organisers’ unflagging efforts to provide up-to-date technical information and to facilitate communication between exhibitor companies and industry players. In particular, the SAIENERGIA & SUSTAINABILITY area devoted to solutions for energy efficiency construction aims to become a major point of reference for everyone interested in the goals of sustainable construction.
The first of the on-line seminars, entitled “Integrating with Energy”, will be held on Thursday 14 April. The theme of the seminar is the close relationship between a building’s form, its environmental performance characteristics, and its construction technologies. To achieve the ultimate goal of maximum energy efficiency, a radical rethink of architectural constructions is required so as to go beyond the mere application of energy-saving systems, materials and devices, instead starting out right from the initial design of the building.
