Live

Live is the third of the pathways at SAIE 2016 - Plan, Build, Live - designed to make the exhibition content on display at the fair more accessible and also more manageable for the professional visitors, enabling an interpretation of and access to specific areas of interest. Alongside the three pathways is the initiative for training and information SAIE ACADEMY & Best Practice 2016, dedicated to key themes in the sector, with in-depth analysis of instruments and procedures. The project is based in pavilions 26 and 32 and in the rooms of the Service Centre and provides the possibility for professionals to obtain training credits.

The themed pathway Live develops across pavilions 26 and 31, offering solutions and sustainable technology aimed at building requalification and energy retrofits. In this space can be found the companies involved in research and development of wooden construction systems, insulation solutions, plant systems and building coverings, both traditional and high efficiency. The companies, many of which are working to achieve the European objectives for Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB), will bring to the fair their prototypes and materials that illustrate successful applications and some of the more innovative technology.

CASA MEDITERRANEA – is located in the Piazza for brickwork and ceramics in pavilion 26. The initiative illustrates how the Casa Mediterranea was made, using scale models, photographic exhibitions and events of the SAIE Academy. Andil and Confindustria Ceramica are the promoters of this safe and energy efficient living model, which has its core the aspects linked to the particularities of the territory of the Mediterranean basin. In this area it is possible to participate also in in-depth discussions on the subjects of seismic security, comfort and energy saving according to the Minimum Environmental Criteria (MEC) from BIN modeling and the digital evolution of buildings. Three special events will be taking place concerning the Casa Mediterranea and MEC, organized by SAIE in collaboration with DEI, the publications department of the Civil Engineering Office.

GREEN HABITAT EFFICIENT COVERINGS – Also in pavilion 26 will be the companies involved in the planning and creation of efficient coverings, from hermetic, airtight products an element that can be worth 30% of a building’s energy needs. SAIE together with the IUAV University of Venice and DEI, the publications office of the Civil Engineering department, have organized on Friday 21st October (2.30pm) at the Sala A of the SAIE Academy and Best Practice (pavilion 26) a seminar for the in-depth study of the subject. For the duration of the fair prototypes will be on display that demonstrate the passage of different systems through a wall in X-Lam and an anchoring counter-frame- wall and window-counter frame.

CONDOMINIOITALIA – Within the Live pathway will also be an ample area dedicated to the reality of the condominium. From building to plant systems to energy supply and security, accounting, banking and insurance, the guiding theme is energy efficiency of buildings. In light of the objectives for the European 20-20-20 directives, SAIE 2016 is providing an opportunity for discussion between condominium administrators, the world of technicians, engineers, architects, surveyors, companies and institutions. A central event of the initiative is the European Congress that will take place in the Sala Guttuso (pavilion 31)on Thursday 20th October (9.00am), in which operators from the sector will discuss the problems of energy efficiency in existing buildings, the opportunities for tax incentives and the technical, social and economic problems linked to energy conversion.

WHITE MARBLE FOR BUILDING BY IMM - International Marmi e Macchine Carrara (IMM) is presenting at SAIE 2016 White Marble for Building, an exhibition project to promote the use of marble as an innovative and eco-sustainable material. IMM is offering a free training pathway for architects, marble fitters, engineers and constructors on the key themes for the sector, from the circular economy to the recycling of building materials, from planning with stone to urban design. Seminars and good practice are at the centre of the activities proposed by the Tuscan group, which has chosen to organize also a Start Up arena: a stage for the presentation of young and dynamic companies that have invested in activities of research and development with an emphasis on environmental problems.
