Safe, intelligent and efficient building is the challenge of SIE, the Exhibition of Plant Innovation for Buildings

Creating buildings that are capable of producing more energy than they consume is the future challenge faced by the construction industry.

SIE, Exhibition of Plant Innovation for Buildings, is a new event organised by Senaf which will be held from 14 to 17 October 2015 at the Bologna exhibition centre in conjunction with SAIE Smart House.

The event serves as an important appointment for communication and sharing of expertise, materials, new technologies and cutting-edge plant systems. It will also feature a series of events, focus sessions and meetings on the theme of energy efficiency and sustainable building.

“To revive the existing building stock, renovation work must seek to improve safety and make buildings smart and more energy efficient. Only by doing this will it be possible to exploit their potential to the full,” argued Giuseppe Nardella, Chairman of Tecniche Nuove and Senaf. “The key players in this process are the companies that produce systems and equipment for energy efficiency and plants.

For this reason it is essential for SIE to adopt a two-fold approach, one focusing on construction techniques and technologies linked to SAIE, the other that of plant implementation and integration of the building-plant system, an area in which our Senaf and Tecniche Nuove working group has greater experience.”
