SAIE is becoming increasingly international in its scope.

With a series of B2B meetings and specialised seminars, the SAIE International space aims to help Italian companies and professionals establish contacts in emerging markets by promoting direct discussions with qualified representatives of institutional, association, financial and business players at an international level.

B2B meetings with delegations from Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey and the Gulf States will also be held at SAIE SMART HOUSE in cooperation with the Italian Trade Commission ICE and UnionCamere Emilia-Romagna.
For the first time at SAIE, B2B meetings between visiting foreign architects and their Italian counterparts are being organised as a new way for the world of building design to find potential international partners for collaboration.

Along with the B2B meetings, the International Room will also host presentations of international projects – such as the Stockholm Royal Seaport, the new smart and sustainable redevelopment project for Stockholm’s waterfront district – and of international works carried out by architects from the international delegations invited to SAIE.

A two-day event consisting of meetings with representatives of the Turkish building industry held in Turkey in the spring of 2015 led to cooperation projects and the exchange of expertise between companies and trade associations in the two countries. The aim of the initiative was to attract major Turkish players to SAIE Smart House 2015 and to create a network of relationships and opportunities for collaboration with Turkey’s dynamic construction industry. The Turkey delegation is one of the largest at SAIE Smart House with more than 40 delegates. It includes representatives of the Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) and of the Ministry of Culture as well as 15 architects who will be exhibiting their work at the Urban Center in Bologna as part of an exhibition organised in cooperation with SAIE on Contemporary Architecture in Turkey.
