Technological innovation and scientific research at the centre of SAIE Smart House 2015 for new sustainable construction

Playing a key role at SAIE Smart House 2015 is the sector of research, present in Pavilion 26 filling a space of over 2500m2 dedicated to the most innovative research being developed in the field of construction and renovations of houses and buildings.

The Research Area, in line with the format SAIE Smart House, will show new materials and technological solutions for the salvage and consolidation of existing buildings, technology for seismic reinforcement and systems for energy efficiency.

Over 15 Italian research centres that, together with the business network, Civil Protection organization, ReLuis and the University Laboratories (including those of the University of Bologna, University of Naples Federico II, Universities of Basilicata, Brescia and La Sapienza in Rome) will form the Research Area: “with the aim of illustrating to visitors the advanced work performed by Italian researchers in the field of construction and how the results of their research and patents are already, in many cases, becoming products on the market and used in construction,” confirms Professor Marco Savoia, Scientific Director of the Research Area.
