Cersaie renews its agreement with BolognaFiere for the four years from 2017-2020, with an option to extend for a further two years

Following negotiations that have been ongoing for some weeks, BolognaFiere and Edi.Cer S.p.A., company controlled by Confindustria Ceramica, have concluded a deal that  establishes that Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tiles and Bathroom Furnishings, will be held in Bologna for the next four editions of the event in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, while the deal also contains an option to extend the agreement for a further two years to include 2021 and 2022.

A key feature of the agreement was the investments destined for the renovation of the exhibition centre, concerning which it was agreed that the investments planned by BolognaFiere were a fundamental aspect for a leading international event such as Cersaie.

“The latest edition of Cersaie,”explained Vittorio Borelli, President of Confindustria Ceramica, “has confirmed the strategic importance of the Bologna venue also for our international clientele, who this year visited in record numbers (50,000 out of a total of 106,000 visitors). So it is with much faith that we renew this agreement during a phase of continuous innovation of our event, which is experiencing a rise in investment by the exhibitors and,  therefore,  we see  the necessary interventions of  renovation at  the Exhibition Centre as a central issue.”

“Another leading association, Confindustria Ceramica, an example of one of the outstanding sectors of Italian production,” explains Franco Boni, President of BolognaFiere “has confirmed with this multi-year renewal of the agreement, its faith in the  company  recognising  its  role  as  an  exhibition  platform  for  the  leading  Italian industrial sectors and also its capacity for renewal.”
