Upgrading the housing stock through urban regeneration while creating an eco-friendly building model that is energy-efficient, comfortable and healthy is the goal of the Manifesto of the Mediterranean House presented in the Brick and Ceramic Plaza in Hall 26 during SAIE 2016.
Firmly rooted in the Mediterranean building tradition, that of Italy in particular, the earthquake-resistant Mediterranean House is based on the circular economy and uses advanced clay products in conjunction with innovative and highly functional ceramic materials.
Amongst the guest companies is Industrie Cotto Possagno, a leading producer of plain and curved roof tiles with characteristics of waterproofing, frost resistance and mechanical strength that exceed the requirements of UNI-EN standards. “Our presence in the brick and tile plaza at SAIE allows us to participate in the important Mediterranean House project and propose solutions that respond to our country’s various climatic, design, aesthetic and structural needs,” explains the company’s Sales and Marketing Director Sabrina Cunial.
